Charming houses tour – Frattamaggiore (Naples)

Nearby Naples, there is a private, intimate and refined residence with its floor in natural oiled French oak.

PRODUCT: BOTTEGA – NATURAL OILED FRENCH OAK
ARCHITECT: Paola Sola / YEAR: 2013

In the heart of the old town of Frattamaggiore, not far from Naples, a private historic building has unveiled all its charm thanks to a conservative restoration carried out by architect Paola Sola.

The high and majestic main door, typical of the late 19-century mansion, opens on an inner courtyard which with its space has been the origin of the restoration, to collect and value all the time heritage.

The mansion, 400 sqm on two floors, has high sloping ceilings, which have made essential the wise use of the double height space and the planning of the staircase and of the climbing systems.

Staircases, which for a long time, have lost their simple function becoming an element able to create a space through the lighting and the choice of the wood paneling.

In all the spaces the white color is carefully softened by the use of the colors and the wood warmth.

For this reason the DELBASSO French oak of our Bottega collection has been chosen a parquet with great value totally handmade suitable for each furniture and environment.

Hence the choice to use it also in the bathroom and in the kitchen, matching the living and aesthetic taste, prerogative of architect Sola.

The restoration phase has been carried out through a sober and never flaunted taste, purity of lines and lightness of the materials, as Paola Sola tells:

As in all my works, I have tried to keep alive the character of the place, respecting the context and the history, combining the new elements through a natural pursuit of an architectural path, maybe outstanding but never finished.
